Take courage, add a sprinkle of endurance and a whole lot of risk taking and you have Minerva, presented by international artist Theaker von Ziarno. With a combination of aerial skills, static trapeze and a few other surprises along the way, Minerva plays homage to those who have made great sacrifices so that future generations can have a better life.
‘Minerva’ is about a Time Travelling Aerial Muse. The show was inspired by the one-way journeys of so many people in the world, the people who choose to leave everything they know and travel to a place that is new to them. Theaker’s ancestors left Bohemia and European culture to sail to New Zealand. When they arrived on the banks of the river Puhoi in the late 1800’s their entire world was redefined. This show pays homage to all those who have taken great risk for the betterment of the generations of the future.
