Karla Kaartdijin

Karla Kaartdijin is a powerful Noongar performance by Karla Hart Productions in collaboration with ZAP Circus. Centered on karla—fire—this work honours its deep significance to Noongar people as a source of life, knowledge and connection. Through a striking fusion of dance, story and song, the performance weaves cultural tradition with contemporary spectacle.   Audiences can expect breathtaking pyrotechnics and stunning fire artistry that illuminate the stage, alongside evocative choreography and storytelling grounded in Country and culture. Karla Kaartdijin (meaning “walking with fire” and “fire knowledge”) invites audiences to reflect on fire as teacher, healer and life force. This is a moving and visually spectacular celebration of resilience, cultural strength and the enduring flame of Noongar wisdom.
